Welcome to the blogger of an absolute beginner...

Well, as a woman of a certain age setting up a business I have heard so much about the power of Social Marketing. I have even been to a seminar this week which made sense, well all except the acronyms. So I am going to give it a go.

I am a great people person and a great coach and if this is the way to tell you all about that...then I am up for moving out of my comfort zone just like a good coach should be. (The words great and technology will never appear in the same sentence for me though.)

We are of course assuming that I ever find this blog again.

Being on trend

Well, putting something out to the universe has bought me back a solution to a different issue, but of course connected, as the universe often does. There I was last month asking for Gok Wan to come my way, well he has not as yet but instead I have been approached by a super Style consultant to exchange style advise for coaching. I will plug her work once I have permission to do so!

Anyway, this came about because I got talking about my relationship to clothes. I love clothes, I love looking stylish and most of the time I feel pretty cool in what I throw on and I am not really bothered what other people think! I also have a great friend who drags me round the charity shops, leads me into the changing rooms and gets me to try on all the stuff she can find in a size 12 for extra tall people (no trousers then).

However, I bear the legacy of growing up above a clothes shop. Wonderful you might shout! Yes, if it was Next or Wallis so I CAN get long trousers, but my mum and dad's shop was of its time...crimpolene and tweed. And because we had very little ready cash when I was young, my wardrobe consisted of those items which were gathering dust.Top that off with size 9 feet before size 9 shoes were invented and you get the picture. And I was 10.

Don't get me wrong...that shop got me my first car at 17, a boat to sail up the Avon (once) and put me through Uni, but confidence it did not.

So whoopee, time for some style and coaching connections too.

Life is good
